Maureen O’Connor Joins Softheon Technologies’ Board of Advisors

DENVER — April 3, 2016 — Softheon Technologies Inc., a prescriptive analytics and consumer engagement platform that measurably reduces medical costs for health plans, announced today that Maureen O’Connor has joined its Board of Advisors. As a senior healthcare executive with proven and extensive experience in matters of strategy, business development, health policy, and strategic investing, Ms. O’Connor brings a wealth of industry knowledge and relationships to her advisory role.

Prior to retiring in early 2017, Ms. O’Connor served as Executive Vice President of Diversified Businesses for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (“BCBSNC”) and President of Mosaic Health Solutions, a company created to develop and drive market-facing solutions through acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and build-outs to meet the needs of consumers and other stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. Between 2009 and 2014, Maureen served as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for BCBSNC, responsible for the healthcare and clinical divisions of the company, network relationships and health system innovation, data analytics and insights, strategy and business development. She joined BCBSNC in 2000 as VP and Deputy General Counsel and later assumed the roles of General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer.

Maureen serves on several professional and community boards, including the Oliver Wyman Healthcare Innovation Leaders Alliance, the United Way of the Greater Triangle (incoming board chair), Family House at UNC Hospitals, and Elon University Law School. She was named by Triangle Business Journal as one of 12 “People to Watch” in 2014. Diversity Journal designated Maureen as one of the nation’s “100 Women to Watch in 2009”, and she was recognized in 2008 as one of 10 “Women Extraordinare” in the Triangle by Business Leader Media. She received a law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a bachelor’s degree in English from College of the Holy Cross.
